Good question! We do not recommend self-repair because the internal contents contain electronics and we cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or product damage caused by opening the unit. Opening up the base will also interfere with the water-proof seal. And finally, opening the unit before the warranty period is over will void your warranty.
If you believe you need to change the battery and are within 12 months of your purchase, please contact Customer Care at email@example.com prior to removing the base to troubleshoot the issue first.
If you do not have a receipt to validate the purchase date or have purchased the item over 1 year ago (no warranty claim), you are no longer covered by your warranty.
